Plans for Prevention and Management
of Construction and demolition waste

Decree-Law No. 102-D/2020, of 10 of December, sets the rules for management of construction and demolition wastee. This law states that all public contracts of construction or demolition projects require the development and implementation of a Plan for Prevention and Management of Construction and demolition wastee.

These plans should allow wastes to be sorted on site, the existence of a appropriate packaging system, the incorporation of part of the wastes produced on site and that they are sent to environmentally appropriate destinations.
